Spray/glue basting and knit fabrics, any advice?

I am doing a knit top (memory quilt) and I am wondering if any of you have spray or glue basted this sort of fabric for quilting. The top is 60X54 and wanted as a soft/cuddly lap quilt, therefore I did not back the knits. Backing is going to be flannel and the batting will be a poly loft. Any advice? Thanks

I am working on memory quilts as well. My tshirts have been interfaced, I am planning on spray basting .. just like the last few quilts. I don't expect that there will be any problems..... I love the spray basting... I am using fleece backing and no batting on these current quilts. But I have successfully used the spray basting with the batting

Thanks meyert! I didn't want to use the interfacing as its to be a cuddly wrap and I didn't want it to stiff. Will have to use a big loopy quilt pattern.

I just had another thought, I have fusible batting that I use on things like table runners/placemats. Might just try a bit of that with extra knit fabric and see how it works.

I used the pellon featherweight, heavy weight and medium weight fusible interfacing. They all are still soft and "free flowing".. they are still cuddly on my quilts. I had never used interfacing before, but since this was the first time I worked with tshirts I was concerned and wanted to be sure things worked out. I am glad that I did use the interfacing... it made the tshirts easier tow work with. I gave them some body so they weren't so floppy and flimsy :) I did have a problem with the last batch I interfaced, it just did not "stick" Someone here thought possibly the shirts were washed with fabric softener, as fabric softener interferes with the adhesion of the interfacing.. so keep the fabric softener in mind when you interface
