Spray for polyester fiberfill?

I am working on a project using polyester fiberfill. The fiberfill will be on the outside of the material so I'm trying to find something that I can spray onto it to harden it and protect it so it keeps it's shape. I was told there was a spray in the automotive section in stores that might work, don't know what it would be. I was even wondering if paper matte spray might work. Any suggestions would be a huge help. Thanks.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. I used to use a product called Stiffy for hardening fabric for making bows a few years ago. It is still available at Walmart craft areas I think. It was painted on the fabric with a brush and I wonder if you could put it into a spray bottle?

Thanks for the great idea. I'll look into that and see if it's possible. I have called so many places and no one had an answer except the automotive spray. I don't like the idea of using something with many harmful chemicals in it. If I end up trying it, I'll keep you posted on how it turned out. Thanks for the quick response :)

How about spray starch? Several sprays may make it as firm as you want. Oh, and maybe hairspray would work, too. Some get really stiff.

Terial Magic might do the trick.
