What about the Monet's Double Wedding Ring pattern by Judy Martin? It is only square patchwork.

There has been comment lately on this board, you should be able to search and find some pics, to see if it what you want.

There IS a pattern called single wedding ring, and I have made it. It uses only squares and HST's. If you would like to see a picture, PM me and I will post after I get home.

Okay,I'll ask the dumb question. Does she want a square quilt or does she want a square ring?

Idiee 07-12-2010 02:38 PM

Hee Hee.......I thought the same thing myself, and I'm the one who posted it! Go figure. I'll have to ask the one who thinks this is what she wants. I have NO idea...

Idiee 07-12-2010 02:39 PM

For some reason, the gal doesn't want it to be a double ring..she specifically said, "single ring"..I think I'll just let my sis-in-law find it herself...thanks for the help!!

That's the pattern I was talking about! It's beautiful and easy to make. Good luck with it.

Does anyone else find it more than slightly ironic that the Single Wedding Ring block is better known as the Crown of Thorns block???

This website tells you that they welcome passing the link on to others, so I don't think you'll find any problem with sharing....besides, it looks like a great link...thanks for sharing!!

This is called wedding knot, so not a ring, but it is square.

I was just about to post that I know that block as Crown of Thorns then I got to your post. I have never heard it referred to as Single Wedding Ring.

Idiee 07-13-2010 09:23 AM

Thank you so much! Wow...this is all new to me, and the very first post I make...I get all kinds of help. I think I'm going to enjoy this site!! Seems like there are certainly a lot of Kindred Spirits out there!! Appreciate your kindness/help.

I did a mystery quilt that kind of looks like wedding rings but made with blocks and rectangles. I don't remember the name of it. It came from a mystery quilt book that was black on the front--all I remember. LOL I gave the quilt away. I just looked at the patterns someone posted and mine did not look anything like these patterns. So I am probably off base by a mile.

Idiee 07-13-2010 09:36 AM

Welcome to that club! However, if you liked it, the recipient liked it..that's all that matters...like, what's in a name? A rose by any other name would still smell as sweet!!!

That would be cute using the HST's on just one corner and call it an Engagement Ring block. Okay, I'm weird, I know but if there was only one corner like that to me it would look like a diamond ring.

That's a GREAT idea...and not weird at all!!!

BellaBoo 07-13-2010 05:16 PM

I don't know why a picture of something for sale is always deleted. The seller wants the picture plastered anywhere and everywhere.

Idiee 07-13-2010 07:16 PM

I agree, love seeing pictures...lets you know what finished product will be like...and, if it's for sale...more potential buyers will be interested.

littlehud 07-13-2010 09:08 PM

Wow, that's a new one to me.

patricej 07-14-2010 03:17 AM

those who posted links to legal sources of images and commercial products (whether free or for a price) are doing the best thing. all interested parties can see them and we don't have to worry about accusations of piracy.

DITTO-- love that idea :)

justwannaquilt 07-14-2010 08:01 PM

could she by chance be talking about something like Single Girl Quilt by Denyse Schmidt? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/ima...4507&s=kitchen

Idiee 07-14-2010 08:14 PM

This looks REALLY good....I'll have to check with sis-in-law to see if this IS what she has in mind....I'm not sure about the "square" part either...like how can a ring be square...ha...and I'm the one who asked for the pattern...Oh, well...thanks for this suggestion. Thanks to everyone ... you are all very kind & helpful!!! (Idiee)
