Squaring Up Quarter Square Triangle Blocks

This may not be new to some of you but it was and Ah Ha moment for me. I was trying to square up some 1/4 sq. triangle blocks without much success. I decided to look through my rulers to see if I could find a 3-1/2" sq. I happened to find a QIAD fussy cut sq. ruler with just an X from corner to corner. I just lined the X up with the seam lines on the block and wala perfect squares. Hope this helps someone else.

Glad that you could find what works for you. Squaring up the blocks can be a very critical moment, if it is done wrong, your block won't be square.

Clever thinking. I should do that more often as I have too many rulers.

Keeping that seam line on the diagonal is critical when making HSTs. Glad you found the right ruler to make sure that happens.

yep, those 45 degree lines or line work well.
