Thank you all for your advice. For my purposes, I think I'll try out rjwilder's suggestion first and see how that turns out since much of the designs I plan on using this time are lines of stitching rather than solid fill type stitching and I'm afraid I might loosen the stitches with tear-away.

Another suggestion to go to www.emblibrary.com and do a search for tute on stabilizing quilt blocks. I was just there and I think they had one. I love Kenny's helpful tutorials!

I am doing an embroidered block of the month at a LQS. We were advised to use tear away light stabilizer. So far, I have been happy with it.
