That is far too beautiful to be rolled up and put away! It is lovely! I love stained glass, and stained glass quilts! Wish I could afford to make one like that!

Very lovely! That's awesome that you can make such beautiful works of art for your church! (And that's a LOT of bias tape.)

Sorry about the double post. I didn't find this post till I went to main and clicked on it. I tried to send it over to here but wasn't smart enough to do that. So I reposted for this site and now it followed me over here.

Your banner is wonderful. You are a gifted quilter. God has used you to further His message. How many banners have you made if you have these two rolled up and not on the walls? Did you create this pattern too?

Yes, I did create that pattern. I made a 60x80 Cross Banner for my little sister's church. It had a different shaped cross in blue and gold. It had the circular frame around the upper cross points. Radiating out from the center pont of the cross were irregular rays that started lighter near the crossand deeped out to the edge of the banner I used many different color families. I hung it up in my church before I took it to her, and God gave me these words to tell the congregation: " You will notice in the center of the banner is the cross, our Lord is not hanging there for He is Risen! You can see it is lighter all around the center of the cross. When we keep our eyes focused on Christ, we are in that light, when we lose sight of him we are out in the darkness. You can also see the fractual rings that go around the cross and break through each ray. These rings represent out fractured lives, families, and country. We must look to the cross for healing. I made her a Christmas banner about the same size 60x80. My older sister's church has 3 of my banners. The Good Shepherd made from a pattern from Bunkhouse Sewing, A Communion banner my design in batiks, and a Bless the Children Banner modeled after a 5" Sunday School picture card.

You are amazing. I love what you wrote about the banner in your little sister's church. So true! Do you have photos of those to share with our Quilting board friends?

Really beautiful. That needs to be hanging so all can see.

I'll see if Linda took pictures of it. If she hasn't I'll get her to take a picture and email it to me. Then I can post it. I know Dolly took pictures of the 3 at her church. I'll get her to email them to me and post them as well.

Thank you! I'm anxious to see the fractured rays from the cross.
