did you ever have stains from the 505 and how did you get them out???
I am about to go nuts. For a border I need the last scrab of that fabric and I cant get rid of a stain. Used soap and water on and on and its still there. I am afraid to use some stainremover as it is a very light yellow and the color might fade. Is it possible that I heatset it with the iron?? please help Granny |
So sorry about the stain. I would soak it in OXY CLEAN before rewashing. Could it be because you sprayed the fabric instead of the batting? It is definitely possible that the iron could have set it.

Does it dissapate from the heat in the dryer?

I am not even close to batting.............sprayed the fabric and that should not be a problem with a watersoluble spray, shouldnt it??
I just made the experience with my last quilt that the stuff is hard to wash out. I had to take the batting off (quiltback was too little - will never happen to me again) and I had it for three times in the washing machine and it was still sticky! Dont you think oxy clean will fade the color? thanks so much granny |
Try BIz. It gets out everything.

Thanks
I was soaking it over night in water - did not help at all. But I got it out with alcohol now |
These are some brands of adhesive cleaners. I have used all of them. Goo Gone, Goof Off, and Oops. You can find them it the DIY section of Wal-Mart, and at the hardware store. I hope this will help if it happens again.

My can of 505 says to use DK5 Cleaning Agent, for clean up.
