stamping marks on quilt

Just finished hand quilting a hand cross stitched quilt for a lady in our church. Several of us worked on the quilting. Just got back from washing it at the laundramat. Guess what - the blue quilting and cross stitching lines did not come out.
Any one have a solution to this?

A couple years ago, I ran into the same thing trying to get a raffle quilt ready to present. I washed normally then tried a bath of Oxy-clean followed by another regular soap wash. Wasn't budging. So I quit worrying.

No - they won't wash out - I am sleeping under a quilt that my Aunt Mary made at least 30 years ago - it was 18" cross stitch embroidery blocks that she did by hand. The blocks also had the quilting lines printed on them - my DD and I quilted this for her by hand following the printed lines. All of the X-stitch marks and the quilting lines are still printed in blue ink and the quilt has been washed umpteen times.

funny, i bought some pre-printed squares to make a quilt and washed them. it didn't say not to wash and yes, those blue markings came out!! i wrote to the company and told them they need to put "do not wash until finished" for idiots like me. They sent me some replacements. I've stitched on some but not all. time will tell if those blue marks come out!
Oxy clean is good at getting marks out. pencil ones anyway. you might try contacting the company for ideas.

I heard they will come out if NOT ironed in.

If it's gone through the dryer the marks may be hard to remove. As others have suggested try Oxy-clean and see if it helps.

And the last year's raffle quilt was spray starched and ironed----------and every mark care out. Who knows.

Dependsd on how old the blocks are. Those printed earlier than about 10 yrs ago were printed with a hot wax method and the lines will likely not come out. The wash out printing only was available in the mid 90's. So my best guess is no they will not come out regardless of what you wash it with
The issue is not how they may be ironed or gone thru the dryer but the method of printing. If you saw no difference when they were washed then the blue marks are there to stay
