Hello everyone! Recently I was on another site and heard on the video that you must "Pop" your thread inside your quilt sandwich when machine quilting..... I know how to achieve this when hand quilting....not getting how to do it on the machine though???? Any takers on trying to talk me thru it?
Thanks!

I just did a search and read this article

i dont' really know anyone who feels this is necessary but all you have to do is bring the bobbin thread to the top with the top thread, thread them both onto a needle then just make a tiny stitch right next to the hole the threads came out of and bury them into your batting.

If I ever make an Hierloom quilt I might go to this trouble but for a utility quilt I don't think I would.

Wow, that's new to me. I'm going to try that. Thanks.

I always do this. On all everything. But I have a little trick to add to it. I have an 18 year old daughter. LOL I make her do it with me. Tricks her in to having to spend time with me without her 3rd hand (cell phone :) )

She isn't very fast at it, but she does it and I enjoy the time. At her age, we argue quite a bit, and it is so peacefule sitting together. She still thinks quilting is a "grandma thing'" She's such a turkey! LOL

I always bring my bottom thread to the top when I start quilting but was unaware how to finish them. I always just cut them off. Thank you all so much for this info. This board is so informative and helpful.

Kim
