I am not trying to build a stash. I have a small amount of leftovers from quilt tops I have made. I use those first if I can when I begin a new quilt top.

Love the look of your stash.
Surprising what can be found at yard sales, thrift shops, LQS sale rack. Before I began quilting, I sold grocery bags of cotton fabric for $1.00/bag @ yard sale while clearing out sewing fabric I bought but didn't use - arghhhhhh!! I watch ebay quilt fabric - helps if seller knows the brand - & sometimes find nice deals. I don't want LQS to close, so sometimes I 'bite the bullet' & pay higher price. They treat me very well - pointing out deals, etc. Plus, I won their Babylock Quilter's Choice machine w/ extended table, and a large basket of patterns, FQ's, Ott light, quilt thread, notions, rulers, chocolate, etc in grand re-opening, so I owe them. LOL One more note - LQS has one 'fabric of the day' 25% off - changes daily, & sometimes they've let me pick which fabric, so I check that out whenever I drive to town; they also offer 1 time in your birthday month, 20% off everything (except machines) - that's when I stock up on thread, blades, any notions I've been drooling over. |
oops - delete.

Ditto! I shop in my closet.
