Made my first visit of the year to LQS and didn't buy any fabric. Signed up for two classes which will use fabric from my stash. 3 days down only 362 to go.

Well so far so good. I have not bought any fabric and I finished two quilt tops from stash. I have a big drawer of 4 and 5 inch sample pieces, not charm packs, that I got some time ago from a catalog. I have made many quilts and have only got about half way through them. I made the big quilt from these squares and some off the shelf for the borders. The small one is made from another sample collection and a bit of a scrap pieces with big cats on it. I have two more in the works. I have not made backs but they will be pieced as well. I have a specific goal to use up the equivalent of one small rolling cart I have stashed with fats and halves. As I empty a drawer or a bit of a shelf I take from the cart. It is getting emptier. How is everybody else doing?

What a great idea and it turned out great!

You are doing a GREAT job kellen46!!!

I wouldn't take the pledge (I'm chicken) but I really plan to use from my stash this year. I have enough of just quilt kits to keep me busy probably two years. I will be looking to this thread to keep me motivated and not thinking I have to be perfect, perfect, matchy, matchy to get a quilt top done.

Keep the encouragements coming.

Who defines 'unneeded'? I just KNOW that I'll use all my fabric before I die, so I must need it!

There could be a nuclear holocaust, and I would have enough stash to last me about 10 years! I could never stop-only because I buy top quality but at clearance prices, so I have to hit the sales. I have made a rule for myself about finishing a project before moving on to something else. I have a good friend that has about 60 UFO's, and that's not going to happen to me.......RIGHT?
