Way to go Karen!

I'm still plugging along. I went thru 50 coroplast boards, 75 comic book boards and am now starting on the cake boards!
Have to try everything.
I'm still going to get rid of a lot of fabric I will never use. Soon.......

:-D

Thanks Suzy
I really do like the comic boards the best. They are way thinner than the colorplast (? sp), and work just as good, and the best price. I have way more fabric in 1 to 2 yards than anything else, so it works out great.
Once you do the first few it is so easy and doesn't seem like work at all - just fun.

Would someone post the links to the best comic board site? I noticed some boards come with the plastic sleeves. That could be good for storing sorted scraps.

I so appreciate all the information that I have gleaned from this thread! I had recently purchased two boxes of the Polar Notions fabric sheet panels and found the system very effective for my every growing stash. But I couldn't really afford to go and buy more panels.
As suggested earlier on this board, I contacted a local sign shop and they GAVE their scrap material to me today! It's a bit thicker than my the Polar Notion panels, but Wow! I've cleaned the pieces and my DH has already cut then into the sizes I needed. Now I'm ready to wrap that fabric and put it to bed!

I got 100 comic boards for 8.99 at a local shop
5 packages later....I have put 2 boards together to be sturdier. I have 150 wrapped and will be working on the next 100 next week.

What are comic boards?

susiequilt 06-17-2010 10:16 AM

Comic book boards are used to back up comics for collectors. I guess it keeps them straight and neat.
They are cardboard and cut to a nice size. You can find them in the comic book store!

I haven't finished yet! I got so depressed looking at so much fabric I had a big fabric give away so I only have half of what I had before. Now maybe I can get it organized!
