My old iron has gone to the "happy ironing grounds" and I need to purchase a new one. Does anyone have any suggestions on an iron that is great for quilting and regular ironing. Thanks for the input.

you cannot go wrong with the Rowenta Pro. I have 2 and 1 is at least 10 years old.
|
love my Rowenta! have had it 14/15 years
|
Im also a satisfied Rowenta owner, but I only use it dry, I never put water in mine. If I need steam I spritz water.

I have a shark and love it and it does not drip

Had two Rowentas and they both died quickly. My daughter got me hooked on Shark. Best steam of any iron I've ever had. Good clean out feature.
|
Which model of Shark do you have? It is my Rowenta that just stopped heating up.
|
do they make any other brands of irons other then rowenta? i didn't know that. hmmp.

You are joking, right?

I have the Dry Iron from Vermont Country Store:
http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/s...Dry_Iron/42277 If I need steam, I spritz water and then press. I don't iron my clothing, so this is used just for quilting. For clothing, my DH uses an el-cheapo model from Walmart and is quite happy. Cheers, K |
