Sticker Residue

I'm working on a project with FQ's. I'm having trouble getting the sticker off one of them. It's leaving behind part of the label and sticky glue. Any suggestions on how to get it off?

there is a product called "goo gone", but i am not sure it would work on fabric. there are other products, too. they should be grouped together at the hardware store. also, did you try washing it?

Don't put Goo Gone on the fabric without testing it on semthing you don't care about. That is some mineral-based prodcut. Try rubbing peanut butter on the fabric to get the residue and rinse it right away so the oil doesn't set on the fabric.

Try using a hair blower. Heat softens a lot of adhesives, making it easier to "roll" off the adhesive with a finger or "blot" it off with another piece of adhesive (such as an adhesive name label).

Sometimes a good hairspray will do the job. I use it a lot when goo gone won't work or turp or alcohol.

I had several fq's from Joanns that I had that same issue with.

What I did was take some parchment paper and put a piece on
the top and bottom of fabric and used my iron to "heat" up the
residue than gently "scratch" it off. It worked great for me.

I never tried it on fabric, but a stale potato chip removes glue residue from othjer things

I tried peanut butter. It's drying now. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I use just plain old Scotch tape...I just "blot" the offending label with the tape until it gives up and comes off. I have also used peanut butter and it works as well.

This is why I don't buy Joann's fats any more. You never know how long it's been stickered, so may be hard to remove.
