I'm having one of those brain freezes, I forget what you call that paper you use to stick material down with. Lord this is awful. I just wanted a good one that dosen't make everything stiff when you use it. Plus the name of the stuff you can get at the drugstore for memory, everytime I remember the name of it, I forget to stop and get it. I'm getting bad.

1) double sized fusing. there are a few different brands and weights. Wonder Under is popular; Stich Witchery is also good. the ones that don't make things stiff usually have to be secured with stitching afterward so they don't come off in the wash.

2) Ginko Biloba ... if i remember correctly ... and i may not. LOL

Are you talking about "Heat n Bond" iron-on adhesive fusible web. I use this stuff alot and use the lite so it doesn't feel stiff.

The one that I have been using lately is called lite fuse. It has no paper backing so you would need a teflon pressing sheet with it. It will hold things in palce fairly well, but may want to still stitch it down for good measure.

PS Meant to tell you that i got it at the quilt shop. It comes about 1/2 yd to a pkg. for 2 or 3 bucks.

:) Whatever brand you use--if you trace your object you want to fuse down, then cut it out on the inside lines of what you have traced, using only 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the fusable on the fabric, it will not be stiff!!! Read this but also learned the hard way!!!! Hope you understand this!!!

If you still have a Wal-Mart in your area, or at least the Fabric Dept., they have the heat and bond in a 27 inch wide roll, and is 5 yards long .which was $5. for the roll last summer.

Save those pennies and dollars....to buy more quilt fabrics.
