Congrats! I think it is one of the hardest things to do! Vinegar has always worked for me also.

I gave up 31 years ago after 3 tries and never looked back, well done I know it is hard.
we had our funiture in storage for 12 months and in that time I gave up smoking, when the furniture was brought into my home I kept wondering who had been smoking in my house, dum dum it was on the furniture, I never did get it all out, but over the years it was replaced piece by piece, now the house smells of cats, I can't win. not gonna get rid of the cats tho i love them all to much

Congrats on quitting smoking. I quit 4 years ago after smoking for 48 yrs. It was not easy. I wish I had done it years ago before I developed COPD.

Welcome from Florida! It is amazing how that smell permeates things! Neither my DH or I smoke but when my DD stayed here for a while, even though she smoked outside, when she left, the bedroom had to be aired out for a long time before the smell was gone.
She quit and I am so proud of her for it. I know it's a hard habit for most people to kick. If I could, I would pat you on the back and congratulate you! :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :D

Congrats on quiting. I know it's hard. I quit 20 years ago, after smoking for 30 yrs. I started very young. hehehe My DH still smokes, but I don't allow it in the house or my car. So he smokes in the garage standing right by the heat pump. Every night I crawl in bed while he goes out and has his last cigarette for the night. He doesn't realize the smell comes right through the vents. So I am constantly airing out and spraying. I am one of those who has quit and just hates the smell. cjomomma is right, try the oxy stuff. And alot depends on the brand you smoke. Some brands smell much worse than others.
