Stipple Quilting with machine embroidery
 

I have been looking for a stipple platter that is "loose" if that is how I should word it. I find tight ones but can't find one that is spread out, that comes in many different sizes. even a 2x2 patch.
I have a Topaz 30 and love it, but I can not figure out how to take a stipple pattern (for example) and cut it (5D extra) to the size I need and make it a stitchable pattern. Does anyone know how to make it a viable pattern with a continuous stitch? I can cut one but it has unknotted ends at the cut. i know I am saying all this wrong. I hope someone understands.

meandering is what you want. stippling is the tiny close together one. there are paper patterns sold so you might look online for continuous line quilting templates/patterns. Good luck. oh embroidery is not what I'm familiar with

Did you check Embroidery Library for their quilting designs??

i play with the serpentine stitch on my machine. Yours has one too. Adjust the length of stitch, stretch the design and have fun playing.

The serpentine (think serpent) stitch is the wavy stitch on the bottom. You should be able to adjust the stitch wave by adjusting the length.

i also stitch horizontal and vertical. On point or otherwise.

I have used that stitch as well stretching it out. I also have quilting stitches on my machine and they can be stretched as well. Mine has a stippling stitch and it is tight even if I stretch it. But there are others that do work. Do you have a menu on the Topaz for quilting stitches? The 960Q does not do embroidery but omnimotion stitches.

I don't have 5D, but do you not have a stipple design included in the samples supplied. You should be able to bring it up on the screen and select points along the line to move about, even 'select' the design and enlarge it using handles, and then delete the points that fall outside the size you want to end up with. Study the 'help' section, I'm sure there will be something in there. I did find this tute on line, don't know if you have this module but check out doing the stones and pebbles one, it says you use a drawing tablet, but perhaps not necessary. Otherwise, your dealer should be able to help.

I know these programs are hard to learn, you have to use them several times a week to remember anything.
