Does anyone have any drawings of stippling that they could post? IOW, stippling drawn on paper. I think if I had a diagram to follow while I am doing the actual quilting that I may get the hang of it faster. Hope this makes sense. I would appreciate any help.

Here is a picture of a stipple stencil and a couple pictures of some freehand stippling that I did the other day. Just don't look too close. There are lots of stippling stencils and paper patterns out there that also incorporate things like hearts, roses, stars etc. Hope this helps

This is my 2nd attempt at freehand machine quilting. It is a charity quilt for my guild

Stipple Stencil, which I have never used except to set beside me so I have an idea of what to do

I have the same stipple stencil you do. Used it once and now I find it easier to just do it without the pattern. I love to stipple. It relaxes me.

Also, can use a big puzzle piece from when the kiddos were very little to get an idea of shapes too....also, practice on recycled mags w/a marker. Hold the end of it as you move it in the stippling motion, turn page, keep going. This will help you get the feel or movement of the motion. Which I thought was a great idea for practice. I think stippling is a personal style. You will learn yours soon!:0)I also have a stippled stencil that I like to look at to keep the motion and direction. Anything that helps is always a good thing!
