janome does make the Stitch in the Ditch acufeed or walking foot. here tis.

Yes, it looks similar to my standard Janome SITDF, only like 8 times bigger. LOL.

I am definitely going to make look for IDT, accufeed etc. in my next machine, so the SITDF will work on quilts. That's a real plus IMO.

Does the Janome 'walking stitch in the ditch foot' have a "real" name? I do really well with the the SITD foot, without the walking foot or accufeed, but there are times when I could use it. My new Phaff has the IDT system but I'm still getting used to it. When I want to just get something done, I'm back to the Janome.

From one Janome 4900 owner to another. Do you have any problem with the needle threader? The reason I ask is that I could never get it to work on my 6125 QC machine and I can't get it to work on the 4900. Either I am doing something wrong, or there is a fault with the mechanism, if you can call it that.

In response to the SITD foot, I find it works fine so long as the batting is not too thick. I generally use Hobbs Heirloom 80/20..
