Stitch in ditch? meander? Need ideas

Hello-- this is sort of an I Spy/T-shirt quilt for my older son. The larger blocks are 6 inches (some applique, some t-shirt, some embroidery, and some regular) and the smaller blue jean blocks are 3 inches. I think I will use a medium gray thread for the center of quilt and maybe beige for the corn border. Would an allover meander be ok or should I SID around all the blocks? Back is a brown minkee. Used Warm & Natural batting. Reluctant to meander thru the detailed blocks but also don't want large areas unquilted. The picture shows just a portion of the 60x70 quilt so you get the idea. Any suggestions welcomed!

OMGsh! This is so creative. I don't have a clue about the quilting. I love that green print.

i think if you used a grey or pale yellow thread, the all over meander would look good. it wouldn't take away from the great pattern/design of the quilt

What a wonderful quilt! You'll need to STID to anchor it anyway, once you get that done you might have a better idea of what you'd like, but I agree with QuiltnNan an all over meander in a neutral color (and in this quilt a paler yellow would be neutral) will be good. My go to neutrals are usually a shade of gray or tan. If it's going to get washed fairly often I would definitely go with an all over design. Such a great quilt design and fabric choices!!

I certainly would SITD in the octagonal sections with matching thread. I would then outline the items such as the sheep, the clogs an the skier and then fill in the background with stippling. With the basketball, just do loops around them. Hope this helps..
