I wish one of my local quilt stores would have a longarm machine for rent by the hour. :D

Just did a mapquest. Your town is 3 hours from my mom's town. Let us know when you are in business and I'll take my 83 year old mom on a road trip. She started quilting many, many years ago to fill her empty nest.

I for one don't like the idea of coffee or tea. I hate the thought that anything would spill on fabrics or on my store.

I would like longer hours for people who work, and none of the LQS's around me have Saturday hours. I'd say to be open on Saturday.

A newspaper and magazine section and couple of comfortable chairs for the husbands to wait while we shop. They have this in the Casa Grande, Az one we visited last winter. That way I didn't have to rush as hubby was contented.

Wish you would move your store to the Oregon coast! All of these ideas sound so good, especially a place to put the bolts while you continue shopping.

And on the sample, the name of the pattern and where to find it. Maybe also the fabric line used to make it.

One of our local stores does this. It is so nice to see a beautiful quilt, and below it have the pattern and the selection of fabrics from which it was made. They also offer classes, have a kitchen for all day sessions, and feature local artists once a month. Great inspiration. Another store features a finish your quilt day, and all offer help to beginners. And, of course, friendly, happy people working there. I am sure you will be successful. You have the right attitude. Happy Quilting, and may success bowl you over.

A big welcome and a genuine smile that says I'm glad you chose to come to me and thank you. No smart remarks if I bring in some other material to match more colores to it.U know you can't have every piece of material that is made and we do like to shop many shops to find that perfect match. And a reward after maybe I spend $200.00 in your shop. A shop near me does that and she gets most of my bussiness. I am going to buy material and it might as well be your shop if there is a little reward for my seeking out your shop.

I would like to see a large sewing area. I have one shop that I go to that has the largest sewing room I have every seen. It has to be a least one half of a home, in fact that is what it is. There are 3 irons and boards, about 7 of eight large tables to sit a machine at. It's just wonderful area no bumping into your neighbor.

I would like to see a few benches where you can just rest for a second. I would spend more time in the store and as everyone knows the more time you are in a store the more money you spend.
