"Stop for Safety Purposes!"

That's what both my new Janome 7700 and my year old 6600 told me last night! I was piecing some minky-bonded faux suede and the machines were getting a little stressed out at times. I put in a new needle, but I didn't stop! ;) I did finish my project, though. :)

My guess is there is some serious lint in the bobbin area. :)

It does happen when you pull the fabric. It really is not because of the bobbin area. i do know if the bobbin area gets really bad the machine will not sew at all.

It happened when I was sewing through too many thicknesses. The needle looked like it was trying to drill through all the polyester suede and minky. I do need to check for lint. I still had some in my hair this morning!
