I found a great plastic see thru container to store any size fat quarter and your charm packs - they are 2.74 at Walmart See the pics

They stack together which is very nice and you can see at a glance what you have!!!

This is the label on the box

shows what it looks like loaded up and how they stack

Are these what they call the shoe box size? I've got about 3 dozen of them. One holds all the supplies for one personal sized quilt. I use mine mosly for other sewing stuff.

Yes -they are with the totes and like the storage drawers etc. I just love them!! Now I have to clean the floor in the sewing room and get them in there!!

No. They are narrower than a shoe box and alot longer - probably even a little taller!! They are 16 1/4 x 7 x 6 3/4.

Jaciqltnok~As far as letting the fabric "breathe" I dont believe they are airtight. I will be checikng this - if they are I will be poking holes in them. Thanks for the tip!!! :D

Also I have the price wrong ~~~they are 2.47 ~ for some reason I cant edit my original post!!

eparys 03-29-2011 02:30 AM

That size is what I use as well - except mine were rubbermaid and more expensive - will have to check these out!!

Thanks for the idea~

This is great! As a re-cycle nut, I use the empty Baby Wipe
boxes. They will stack...problem is you cannot see through them, so I sort by color.
