I just found out about a month ago that is what the movable lip is for at the bottom of the spool. I have started using that on all my thread except the Coats and Clark I got from JoAnnes it wraps at top which I really dislike. My hubby made me hangers that stick on wall with the 3m strips.

What size plastic tubing do you buy . . .different widths for different size spools?
