I, to use the toilet paper rolls, but, I fold the binding all up and place it inside the toilet paper roll. I do the same thing for transporting sewing machines, I roll the cord and place it in the roll. No tangles from either.

I roll them up and put them in a two gallon plastic bag and save for scrap quilts or small projects if enough if left.

I roll them on left over ribbon spools and either use them for small projects or piece them together for a scrappy binding.

I just wrap mine around my fingers and store it in a drawer until I need it for a scrappy quilt.

I put mine in a big clear container and keep them for scrape bindings plus they look pretty in my sewing room.

that depends on how much you have. I store mine on a pool noodle (1$ at $ store) cut it the size you need. This is also great when taking quilt squares back and forth to class; no wrinkles
