Just binding for me. Great colors. Will be beautiful no matter which option you use.

I'm almost always happier with a border. And that one's a nice size - not t too big or too small. The border helps frame the work like art.
|
Before I looked, I thought wall hanging, binding. AFTER I looked, I say border.
|
At first glance both are o.k. but second glance, vote for the binding. Just started doing only binding myself and took a while for me to get used to it but now I really like quilts with binding on them. Just saying.......

Beautiful. Wallhanging with just binding. Any size quilt with the border is my opinion.
|
I vote just binding. (But I'm not a huge fan of borders, anyway.) Lovely quilt!

I would add the border. You have done a great job on this - it's beautiful.
|
Either would work. Gorgeous quilt!

I'm a fan of borders. They frame a quilt and set off the interior design.

I appreciate all the opinions. Looks like they are about split.
I decided to go with the borders. I seemed to picture it with the borders in my mind. I'm doing a happy dance since I finished it yesterday. DH will get me a dowel this morning so I can hang it. I had stopped by Ben Franklin yesterday to get just a bit more of the fabric I needed for the border, binding and backing. I couldn't find the blue batik for border and binding and was just about panicked that it was all sold. I showed the clerk the piece of fabric I had, and she walked over to the batiks and picked it right out! I was so relieved! I struggled a bit with finishing the binding and hanging loops because I was a little tired (got them upside down the first time), but so determined that I did finally finish it. I'll try to post a picture once it's on the wall. |
