Also spray it very lightly with pledge and wipe. I repeat very lightly. It'll keep the fingerprints and streaks to a minimum between cleanings.

The Pledge stainless wipes are pretty good. I bought spray but I don't like to spray it over my rug by the sink & dishwasher. So I spray it into the wipes that have dried out to rejuvenate them.

Just wipe on some Turtle wax. When we moved into our house the back bathroom has really pretty green toilet & sink...while dated there is still alot of life left in them and i'm a green freak...the sink had some hard water stains. I shined it up with some Turtle wax and it looks like new. AND it repels water too...I don't see why it wouldn't work on the stainless....see if you can find somehwere if there would be any chemical reactions....I can't imagine there would be but you never know..

I use plain hot water (really hot, wear gloves) and a majic cloth (you can get them at Dollarama, or Dollar general - usually are used for glass). That's it, let dry naturally, no polishing, no chemicals.....I was told not to use any "pre-moisten Stainless steel Cloths" Just adds a film, and then you spend the rest of the day buffing.
Turtlewax was only for the granite countertop. |
I just use a soapy dishrag after doing dishes (yes, we do dishes the old fashioned way), then dry it with a clean towel.

Mim,
Just saw on a tv show yesterday that olive oil used with a circular motion works. Hope this helps. Lucy |
on t.v. shows making houses up for sale, they have used mineral oil.
