Stripology or June Tailor?

I want to purchase one of the slotted rulers to help me cut strips and square off blocks accurately. On the TV/online they look very similar other than price.

Here in the UK at the moment I can get the Stripology ruler for £45 and the equivalent June Tailor ruler (which is actually a bit longer!) for £31. It seems a big price difference...

All thoughts and opinions are welcome

I have both and the Stripology is sturdier.

I agree with Onebyone. In fact, I have 2 sizes of the Stripology ruler. They also have the Creative Grids trademark non-slip finish on the back, which I think makes them better. But they are costly. I found that with the June Tailor ruler I was slicing into the surface as I made my cuts.

I don't have a stripology, but I have 3 June Tailors and I have found, like audsgirl, that I cut into the ruler when I use it. And I bought all 3 of them at thrift stores, so that might be a comment on them as well!

I have the June Taylor one. It's pretty thin. It seems that I always nick it with the rotary cutter. Then the blade is nicked. I pretty much quit using it.

Lol, my June Taylor's went to the thrift store. I don't know where themadpatter lives, but perhaps mine ended up with her!

The June taylors were never successful for me - the strips between the cutting lines wobbled about and I either ended up nicking them - not good for the cutter or the ruler - or the cut ended up off kilter.

Stripology, and Creative Grids in general, gets my vote!

Ok thanks everyone. Seems an obvious ‘winner’ despite the cost.

Ugh....I must stop visiting this site. I was blissfully ignorant of the existence of this ruler until this post and google. Now I must have one!

I used the June Tailor and it worked well for awhile. Then I got the Stripology and prefer it, as the others said. It's sturdier.

I just bought and received a stripology Square, and I really love it. My strips are cut perfectly first time ever. That little chanel really keeps things in line. Best ruler I ever bought, so for me it was worth the money. No more odd size strips.
