(that's the closest to a show of hands)

Back in the mid '90s, I was in SF at a small office in the Presidio-- a military base that was converted to a collection of nonprofit organizations. There was this young guy standing in front of a bunch of computer hard disks -- big ones-- telling us about his new project-- to capture EVERY web page that was created on the Internet. Back then, the web was VERY young; even so, we thought he was nuts. HOW is he going to DO that? Well, he did it! His name is Brewster Kahle.

If you ever use archive.org, you're benefiting from his and his team's work.

That pattern was one of the first that I copied even before I had a computer. Haven't made it yet, but it's still on my list of quilts to make. Thanks for reminding me. Hope I can find it when I need to. lol
