Struggling to find the right pattern for jelly rolls

I have 5 jelly rolls, all alike. I love the fabrics, but there really isn't much contrast in the colors. The problem is finding a basic pattern that will work. I've already tried a log cabin and that didn't work. Tried a paper pieced chevron and while it looked ok, it was way too many little pieces. The only other I've seen may be a french braid. Does anyone else have a good pattern you use for jelly rolls? I want to make 2 twin size quilts and could add a basic coordinating color if necessary. Thanks in advance, Rose

Can you post a picture of the jelly roll? I am visual and it helps to seen them laid out and then pick a pattern.

Name of the pattern is Sugar Almonds by an Australian quilter and blogger. I made one, it is really pretty and the pattern is free. Here is the link for her tutorial http://www.sameliasmum.com/2012/07/s...1#.UgMasmS9Kc0

If the link does not work, just google Sugar Almond Quilt. Good luck!

check out the pattern. Sweet Menagerie nine patch at moda bakeshop. I made this one once and used a dark background instead of white, turned out great

wish I could post the link for you, sorry, not sure how to get it to work

You might see something you like here. Also, you might consider tossing in different fabrics to add to the contrast. Just a thought.

Sugar Almond pattern is nice, or perhaps even a jelly roll race with some added fabrics for more spark-?
Moda does also have quite a selection of great patterns~ :)
