Wow what a lot of different things, I use hair clips to hold my binding down when I hand stitch no more stabbed fingers from the pins . should have been doing it years ago...I save wide mouth small jars like from relish to despose my rotatary blades and needles just keep one close to the sewing machine and when full I tape it shut and write used blades. I have folgers nice red coffee cansisters for all my rotary cutters, scissors, tapes etc. I also took the hand basket that came from lysol that should be under the kitchen sink and use it to hold items by my machine works well.

I longarm quilt and I put 2 large soup cans on a quilt that is too full. I place the cans on both sides of my longarm machine. They roll along and the extra fullness just gets absorbed by the tension that the weight of the cans causes,

Bingo wand - it's magnetic, so it's great for picking up pins
Ping pong table is now a cutting table! |
I use old cd's to round corners. Makes great circles too.
One of my favorite tools is the containers from frog tape. I put my pins in it, works better than pin tray I think. Plus I put this on it when I am down or traveling. I use an old wall pocket to put my small rulers in. |

This was stolen initially from my husband's toolbox: I have since bought him a replacement, but have also bought lots of these for my friends. Brilliant for picking up pins from the floor without bending your knees! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Silverline-1...1&sr=1-6-spell |

I put an old tricot nightgown over my clothes when I'm sewing. Keeps the "quilt poop" from attaching to me. Just slides right off!
