Stylus attachment for Grace frame?

Hello all

i am wondering if anyone has used the stylus attachment for the Grace Frame? Do you find it works well? Are there different types of stylus attachments or are they universal?

Also, any recommendations on where to purchase one?

many thanks!
carol

Wow I Like That 10-04-2014 07:52 AM

I forget what frame I have, it might be the Grace. I just bought it 2 months ago and I would have to go look but it does have a stylus and I have played with it and I found it difficult. My stitches look much better when I free hand them. But I like that look of randomness. I never want a quilt to look like someone bought it at a store. But I did want to be able to manage to do perfect circles and I couldn't master it so I searched and I found templates and this base that attaches to the machine so that you can firmly lay the templates down.

I got the extension table and the templates and a special at Finishing Touches. This works like a charm for me. I got circle templates and straight rulers and a curved piece too. I'm working on a quilt top now and when I get done, I'll post a pic. Good luck.

I have the stylus on my Bernina frame which was made by Grace. It works well with grooved boards which I purchased from www.rns-design.com/. They were great to work with, answered all my questions and their product is superior to many I've seen at quilt shows.
