I'm going to piece a block to turn into a tote bag for a good friend of mine. I want to use the fabric with the girls as the "star" fabric because they're so cute I can't stand it... I'm open to suggestions for what block pattern to use. Also, is there anything special I should consider since I'm using it in a tote bag?

a friendship star would be nice, using the focus fabric as the center

That's a good suggestion and she'd appreciate the name of the pattern also. Thanks!

That is cute fabric. I can't wait to see what you decide to do with it.

Love your fabrics! I like a tote that stands up by itself, so I use stiff fleece in it. Pockets? Probably inside, so as not to detract from the fabric. I'd definitely make the bottom from the darker fabric. Maybe a stiff bottom insert? Handle length? Arm or shoulder carrier? I like shoulder as it leaves my hands free. Love totes...both to make and give as gifts! Have fun.
