I've just finished hand embroidering 12 small blocks (7 1/2") & I want to make this a larger quilt by adding additional blocks or some kind. The embroidery is sweet, small, old-fashioned girls in long dresses done crayons and then embroidered in pastels. Any suggestions? Of course, I'll add borders, too. I don't want to just make it a baby quilt. My 20 yr old granddaughter decided she wants it herself. :) Thanks.

Show us some of the squares you have, can get as better idea that way. Sounds as if they are pretty.

Pics would help, but while we wait what about a nine patch alternating the squares with the blocks you already have , or warm wishes using your blocks as the focus square ?

Pics would help. but easy nine patch or railroad squares would work. Or if you want more detail a simple star block done in pastels would work,

I made some simple quilts with embroidered squares. Some I alternated with 9 patch blocks, some I sashed with scrappy prints, some I sashed with all one color. None of them were hard to do.

I hate to admit this, but I don't know how to put pictures on the computer....Maybe you could direct me to info about that too. LOL

We find spending big $$ on fabric, bringing it home, cutting it into tiny pieces acceptable, but cannot figure out how to get a picture on line! I am thinking we are of the same generation, LOL

Pam, you are so right. LOL If I can ever find the time to sit down and read the manual for my digital camera and my new laptop....I think I can figure it out. But, quilting just keeps calling for my time and of course, the necessities of the home....like groceries, cleaning, cooking, etc.
