I agree with ManiacQuilter2. I think a simple design looks best with black and white. I particularly like start designs, especially if the fabric pattern is a small design. I also think just black and white needs a "pop" of colour. Love, love, love the lime green quilting HillCountryGal!!
I am busy collecting light and dark strips of fabric for a barn raising quilt.

I made two of the attached. It can get frustrating trying to decide which is the "light" black and white fabric and which is the "dark" black and white fabric. But I love how they turned out.
