My girlfriend has been fortunate enough to have been given ALOT of fabric......The problem is, it's in another state and there are alot of boxes of fabric, at least 20lbs per box...Can anyone suggest the best way to ship that much fabric....???

Depends how far away they are being shipped. If I'm sending something in a state not far I can do much cheaper by weight.
If not I use the Flat-rate Priority USPS boxes and stuff them like crazy :)

I was told UPS is also cheaper.

Seems like she'd get much more accurate information by contacting the shipping/mailing people available to her...USPS, UPS and FedEx to start with. All will give you the rates if you give them the weight and distance.

You should check out all the shipping options first for that much weight. A friend of mine claims that UPS has better pricing.

Last I knew UPS ( United Parcel Service) had a freight option for shipments over 200 pounds I think it was. Does not have to be same box just same delivery address - call or check the internet for that

son't forget that Amtrak and the bus lines also do shipping and they're more liberal on the size of packages and weight. Bus takes a little longer.

UPS has hundredweight pricing for a shipment to a single address (no matter how many boxes) that totals over 100 lbs.
You can get pricing and time in transit info at ups.com
