Super slider or equivalent
How on earth do you clean off the back of the thing? Between cat hair and threads it doesn't want to stick and I'm too lazy to find my drafting tape.
The front is just fine. |
I believe it just washes off easily. lay flat to dry. should be good as new.
|
Run it under a warm tap with a little detergent on it and shake it dry. It will be like new.
|
I just run water from the tap over the back and dry it is good to go.

Yep, all it takes is a quick rinse under lukewarm (tepid) water, then dry it off and it's good to go. :) Though I will say, I quilt with cats (one who has black hair) and some of those hairs can really stick to the slider. When that happens, I just use my fingers to gently loosen the hairs while I'm running it under water, and they rinse right off.

I'll try it. What happens if the sticky stuff comes off?

I don't have one but while at the Paducha Quilt show I purchased a polish for my machine table, works great. Really slick.

Washing off is what Leah Day suggests. Glad to hear it works! I don't have one but it is nice to know that cat hair will come off too. I do have cats!
|
I wash mine as others have suggested. It works great. I don't have cats; but mine gets lint. Now, I do tape mine down every time I use it. After stitching 3 into quilts, I have given up on using it without the blue painters tape. I can't afford to keep buying new ones; plus ripping them from the back of a quilt is not my idea of fun.
