Nothing to be afraid Cowgirl. It is just a machine. I will learn it no matter what, and so will you. I am so excited and can hardly wait for it to arrive.

Giant congratulations to you and your husband! What a wonderful surprise, and I am sure you will have a blast learning to use it...and so will he...and so will your kids when they get older. You could start your own business, like Charisma!!

Or you could just have fun!

IBQLTN 10-16-2012 09:50 AM

Congratulation! I'm sure you'll do fine ... nothing is as hard or has a much of a learning curve as being a good parent! (My DS is 34 and I'm still learning - LOL - he is now engaged and I will be learning to be a mom-in-law, eek!)

WMUTeach 10-16-2012 10:46 AM

Does he have an older brother? Keep this generous man and make him proud of his investment in your passion for fabric and skills as a quilter.

You're a lucky woman, wish my husband would surprise me with something like that, even if it's only a surprise trip to a quilt store. Lucky you - congratulations. I'm looking forward to seeing your creations on your new machine.

You are going to love your Bailey's. I sure love mine. I have made myself a quilting table, and use my Bailey's as you would a normal sewing machine, but it sure makes FMQ much more manageable when quilting a full size quilt, which is all I really do.

Congratulations.
