sweet sixteen owners

Has anyone bought the trustitch for their sweet sixteen. I am thinking of buying a Sweet Sixteen and was looking at the videos and saw the trustitch . For those who own a Sweet Sixteen are there any Cons?? I like the size of it and that it will beable to fit in my sewing room and not take up the whole room. The biggest debate for me is if they will be coming out with a newer sit down in the near future.

I have it and love it. It does have a learning curve, but makes such perfect stitches. If you like very detailed work, it's very worthwhile. I can do 14+ stitches to the inch perfectly in a lovely little stipple. I want to work on micro stippling next and start around 18 or more stitches to the inch. There is a sweet sixteen yahoo group where the machine and TruStitch is discussed in depth. It's called the HQ_Sit_down_Model.

I have the sweet 16 (love it) but I never upgraded to the stitch regulator. I do fine without it. It's a good sturdy machine. Mine likes King Tut thread.

At a recent sewing expo I spent much time playing with all the sit down quilting machines there (Gammil, Innova, Tin Lizzie, Sweet Sixteen & Babylock Tiara) The Sweet Sixteen & Babylock Tiara are the same, and were my favorites (and the least expensive), my local dealer carries both, plus the Pfaff version. I didn't think I would like the Tru Stitch just because it looked strange, but it only took me a few minutes to catch onto it & I love it! So tomorrow I'm putting a down payment on the Babylock, picked that one because of better deal with warranty, etc my dealer could offer. So excited, I had to clean up sewing room to make room, gave away an olddie but goodie vintage machine in a cabinet to make more space.

You are lucky!!! I am really leaning that way too..I also have a treadle that I may sell to make room for my new machine. I love the look of it...works great but I never use it.
