T-shirt quilt for a friend's son - high school graduation gift

Started out with 20 t-shirts....finished all of the blocks last night. Now making the strips and cornerstones. Unfortunately, this is my first DIY quilt and I am not sure of the steps to keep it simple. I've already cut the sashing strips and so I have to sew the cornerstones on separately. But that's ok -- still have two months to get it done.
Here's a pic of the t-shirts before and after cutting and stabilizing. I have one block partially sewn, just to give an idea of the colors for the sashing and cornerstone. He wanted tan and beige colors. Decided to make one block first to see how it looked and get approval from the Mom. She likes it so on with the sewing. Next -- how to quilt....suggestions?? Looking good and a large all over meander would be nice if you can FMQ. If not, SITD down the sashing and an X in the t-shirt block would work.

Save the scraps (rest of the t-shirts)! They make great rags for cleaning!

Looks great! I've made quite a few t-shirt quilts -- they seem to be the "thing" for graduations now days. I recently made one for myself with shirts I collected while on vacation in Australia, and had great fun trying out new stitches on them. I try to avoid quilting over the wording or logos - I love the way they "puff out" a little after they're washed, and it really helps the t-shirts stand out. My go-to stitching is meandering on quilts for others, but here's a few I did on mine:

Cindi, I love your quilting ideas! You can add your blog address to your signature line. I don't know how to do it but if you look at the bottom of a lot of the other members posts, they have their signatures, websites, etsy etc. Sure wish I could see your site!

i like cindi's blocks ..............i do a few every year and usually quilt around the blocks and follow the lines of the print on the shirt ...if not enough i do like cindi does ..make something up
