Thanks, I bought a memory quilt magazine at Joanne's Fabrics. I did not like their designs because they just sewed the shirts together and put a border. The hardest part is ironing the pellon on the back of the t shirts. You have to do this to keep the shirts from stretching as you sew. I found out with my first quilt, you also need to put the iron on pellon on the sashing to keep everything the same. I cut the t shirts up the sides, cut off the sleeves and neck, ironed the pellon on, laid my 12 inch block ruler over the design and centered the design, and cut with a rotary cutter. Do NOT cut the t-shirts before you iron the pellon on. Next layout the shirts on the floor and stand back and take a look. Hope this helps.

With my first quilt, I used what I had, which was a heavy weight iron on pellon. But I ran out and purchased a lighter weight. Bad mistake! The 12 size and the weight of the ink transfer on the t-shirt makes the fabric heavy. As you can see, there was a lot of ink transfer on some of the shirts. I ended up going back and getting the heavier weight.
