table runners

I am doing a craft show in September and I need to make a bunch of table runners and table toppers. I need some ideas for lots of different patterns. Please help ! I am at my wits end trying to find different easy patterns.

There are many that can be found on Google especially if you are creative enough not to need a pattern:

I would do a few 10 minute table runners without batting in some seasonal favourite fabrics. They could be lower priced then more intricate ones with batt. French Braid if you quilt as you go makes up quite quickly.

l have collected a whole board of them on ''pinterest'', just go on the site ( easy to sign up), and type "tablerunners placemats etc." into the search box...you'll get a zillion ideas...the posts provide links to tutorials or pattern scources in many cases. Having said that, l also believe you need some seasonal ones in which novelty fabric can be displayed to do some of the work for you. Many folks who do not sew don't appreciate the work that goes into pieced/quilted items.

I was going to make some, and make them double sided. I want to put a season on one side and holiday on the other. So, like a spring pattern on one, side and Easter on the other, so I just have to flip it over for the holidayl Winter/Christmas, Summer/patriotic, Fall/Halloween or Thanksgiving.

Thank you stitch, I have many books and patterns, but I am looking for the unusual. Thank you for the site, I never thought to look on pinterest. I just get so busy and I start 20 different projects, I just need to calm down and SEW!

That is such a great idea, thank you! I just never thought to do different seasons on each side.

Oh I like the idea of a different season on each side. I like to keep a seasonal runner on my kitchen table. Just my preference, but I would never buy a table runner or make one that did not have a batting. They are so much prettier and lay so much nicer with the batting.

How do you quilt these with a different pattern on each side? Do you just do a simple edge to edge?

If I put an applique on a tablerunner, it sells immediately.
