I see a lot of you have machines that sit on the table tops. I am use to sewing in a cabinet. Do any of the newer machines fit cabinets? With tables being 29" height then add the 3 1/2" machine don't that make a to high work space and the material draping down.

Check out Arrow Cabinets...the make them for the bigger sewing machines

My IKEA table is at a low setting so it isn't too bad.

ai bought the IKEA top and adjustable legs. Great for machine. Then a local woodworker made a tray to fit around the machine. The legs adjust to just the right height. The legs and top cost about $100.
I understand SewEzi has a new table to fit the newer machines that are larger. |
I like sewing on the kitchen table...I am in the middle of everything...its only my husband and I at home...I clean up my mess when I am done...and the sewing machine goes in the closet. I do not want a cabint yet..no room...someday if I can convince my hubby to build another room. I do not want to use the basement and I do not want to use the room upstair...I like being in an open area...the front room only has one window..so nope...we may put in a bow window...if so I may use it or at least I would store my stuff in there,

One of my machine I use on a homemade table 25 inches high..Other is on a regular table but I bought a lift chair from Staples that get up high enough to make up the diff.

I cut the legs off of a folding buffet table.

I have a Horn cabinet for my Janome 6600P. The base of the machine is longer than most openings. I love having my machine down in the hole with the side tables at the same height as the bed of the machine. I didn't do very well with it on a table.
