Talk about Customer Service!
My local fabric store has their Member's sale on Saturdays.
I work on Saturdays. I sent a note to customer service pointing out that some of the people who pay for a yearly membership are unable to take advantage of the member's sales because we work on weekends. They sent me back a note saying that they were informing both local stores that from now on, I would be able to shop on the Monday, following any member's sale that fell on a weekend! How's that for customer service?! Watson  |
Sounds like they value you as a customer!

Uummm, totally awesome?
|
great!!! i just tried shopping at a dept. store because they had sent me a coupon. could not log in and "register" for last call sales. i have shopped in their last call store and get coupons in the mail for it. sigh. I do wish people would not make simple things difficult. oh well, saved me money. Don't buy too much fabric! or is there such a thing??

Great shop!

Enjoy the savings!

Nice to hear really a good thing.

Thats how I feel about quilt classes and embroidery classes as they are always for the most part m-f 10 -4 like people don't work, especially some of the clubs. I guess thats why online gets my money since they can't seem to get evening or weekend classes on a regular

A very special place

Fantastic! There are nice people in this world-thanks for letting everyone know that there are.

Nice! One of the LQS in my area has a deal where if you come in on your birthday you get 20% off, and every year I go and treat myself to a little birthday shopping spree. A couple years ago, Easter landed on my birthday so they were closed. I called and asked if I could come in on Saturday and get the birthday discount and they said no!! NO exceptions to the rule. I feel bad for anybody whose birthday is on a non-moving holiday, like Christmas! They NEVER get that discount!
I was so disappointed by that answer that I haven't gone back since. It seems petty but I just don't have that "warm & friendly" feeling there anymore that made me willing to pay a premium to buy fabric there instead of online. |
I know that JAF has a lot of horror stories about their coupons, but I had a similar good experience with JoAnn's. After not being able to use a 20% off entire order coupon (my fault as I didn't realize I was shopping a day early) the clerk offered to sign me up for their mobile app which she said would give me a different 20% off coupon. But after trying numerous times, it wouldn't go through. So I handed over my credit card and paid for it all, about $250. When I got home and checked the email, there was a request to take a costumer survey. So I filled it out and rated according to my experience. Much to my surprise, I received an email from the district manager asking for more details and I laid it all out, wasn't nasty as I was not there on the right day, just explained that it was a "high and low" shopping trip. To make a long story short (I know, too late!) he said I could take a copy of the email with me next time I was shopping and they would apply the 20% off to my next purchase. Don't know if I will spend/save the same amount next time, but it's nice to know that customer service isn't dead.

That is smart on their part and it shows they appreciate your business. I support my LQS (actually I have two) faithfully.
|
sounds like one LQS that truly values their customers going to them instead of a Big Box store. That alone is worth spending an extra dollar or two overall, I'd say!
|
Hooray for the LQS! Can't get this kind of personal, quality service from chains or on-line. 😃
|
That's great! Nice to know businesses like that are still around~
