Tapeless Tape

I have a vinyl clear probably 1/2 - 3/4" width tape that I picked up at a quilt show and it says on it that it is called Tapeless Tape Patents Approved. I have searched all over the internet and can not seem to find this tape and I love it for wrapping around my embroidery threads to keep them from unraveling.

Does anyone out there know where I can find this product? Mine is just about gone, didn't want to wait for the next show to try and find it again. :-(

Merry Christmas,

Maybe it's like Hugo Tape. I noticed they no longer carry it but
there's another one called Amazing Tape.

I have a roll of something similar that I bought somewhere years ago. Mine is called Wonder Tape Self Cling Glueless Tape. I love it for putting around spools of thread to keep them neat on the thread rack.

Okay, I just looked at the Hugos Amazing Tape and its the same as mine.

So ... the tapeless part, is that saying that it is a "tape" that does not have adhesive?

You can buy thin vinyl and cut it to size, it works just as well. That is what I did, so I have widths for various sized spools and bobbins too.

Light weight clear vinyl will do the same thing. Cut it in strips to match the size of your thread spools. It clings to itself, keeps the thread from unraveling, and allows you to see thru it to know what color thread is on the spool. I've been using it on my embroidery thread for over 20 years. It works!

Glad has a cling wrap that could possibly work.

Me too, from JoAnn's, I bought a 5" (1/8th yard) strip, I think it is 60" wide.
Then just cut strips off that the width of my spools. If you run it through your fingers a few times it warms up and really clings well. Probably cost me less less than a dollar. You can reuse it forever, just refresh it by warming it again.
