I will be taping some for QuiltersTV later this month. They have alloted more time. There should be time to actually answer questions from viewers or cover questions viewers might have.
Will you help me by giving me some questions related to quilting designs, using quilting patterns, marking the quilting designs etc.
The shows are for The Stencil Co so will relate to the quilting design and not patchwork or applique patterns.

Do you have any suggestions?

Probably simple questions but....

Do I need to choose a stencil based on length of repeat in comparison with the size of my quilt?

If I'm using a long stencil, maybe a cable or such, to go the entire length of the quilt where do I start marking? If I start at the center of the quilt, do I also start at the center of the stencil?

The best markers to use, and how to wash them off when you're done.

When choosing a medallian stencil, how much free space outside the quilting do you allow - how big should the medallian be in relation to the quilt block size?

I look forward to seeing your show. Let us know when it's ready to view.

I have seen, from time to time, many questions about quilting designs, stencils etc. Now is the time to reask those questions and more.

Methods to keep the stencil and the fabric from moving while marking.

Best to mark before or after it's sandwiched - and if you cover both methods is there a marking method that works best for one vs the other (ie chalk marking can easily rub out/smear during the sandwiching process).

Cornering a stencil ... my least favorite math subject :)
