Okay, so I'm teaching a lesson on sentences today to my elementary students and I say, as I write: "Today, after school, I need to buy..." and before I can write a turkey for Thanksgiving, most of them say "fabric." Do they know me or what?
:) Made me smile. Had to explain that I don't really need fabric, though.

Well, to confess, when we have a challenging day, I've gotten in the habit of saying that I'm earning fabric bucks. I made them little goody bags out of Halloween fabric and filled them with nonedible things and they loved that. They are a fun group. We laugh a lot. I'm grateful for that.
Oh, and we are working on a long term project that will have everyone on a sewing machine before the school year is over. I haven't done this for two years but this group will do well and appreciate it, too.

I think that you just need to have turkey fabric.

Hah! Just let me grab my car keys...I don't own any of that yet!
