Tee Shirt Quilt
 

I am doing my 5th tee shirt quilt and this one is for my daughter with all her Disney tee shirts. I done so many of all kinds. Last one for my husband and it was all his Harley Davidson Shirts. Sadly he passed away but his grand daughter has it.
My question is does any one have a suggestion as to what to do with the excess tee shirts scraps once the "logo" is cut out. It is real soft material and it seems a shame to toss it. You can only keep so much. With all the other tee shirt quilt scraps believe it not a friend of mine used it in his handyman business for shop rags. But maybe it can be used other ways.

Use for stuffing pet beds for the pet shelters? I use my t-shirt scraps as rags - much cheaper than buying the bag o' rags at Home Depot or Lowes. (Yes, I have been guilty of buying rags at one time...shame on me!)

The backs make great cloths for cleaning eyeglasses. Just make sure that it is 100% cotton. Also great dusting cloths. I have tubs of the stuff. Can't wait to see what other ideas come forth. I once saw a pattern online for making rag rugs. That's why I have held on to them.

Cut them the size of a paper towel, lay them end to end overlapping a little, roll it all up on a towel tube and make reusable paper towels. Squeeze a little Murphy's oil soap in some water and rinse the towels in this , wring it out and dust away. Used ones go in the wash and start all over. DD uses them to dry her hair. I sew a few together to get bath towel size. She has very curly hair and says if she dries with tshirt material she doesn't get the frizzes. Don't rub your hair just squeeze the water out with the tshirt towel.

Perhaps, by making a cunning loom, you can weave them into pot holders and door mats.

I always aver that every penny saved is a penny in the bank. Just so, every scrap used is pennies in the bank.

I made one of those bathmats! They rock!
You can also cut up the scraps & use them to stuff throw pillows.

Goggle t shirt yarn.

I tear into strips and use them to tie tomato plants to the stake. Works great. I had a friend who used strips and hooked them into a rug! There are tons of uses for them.
