Terial Magic

Do you use it and how do you like it? Has it replaced Best Press or starch for you?
Wondering if it's good for piecing? I don't do applique. I would like to use it for
items that will not be washed such as wall-hangings. It says it doesn't attract bugs.
It's quite pricey here so I'd like to hear your comments first.

To me it was recommend to use to stiffen fabric before putting through the silhouette cutting machine. I have seen it sprayed on fabric to make free standing flowers, however, I have not heard of it to use in quilts. Might work for parts of it.

Seems sort of expensive. I just use a brand that sold at Walmart (not Niagara) and I don't have any problems with bugs or white flakes.

Terial Magic is like starch on steroids. I use it to stiffen fabric that I use to cut applique shapes with my Go. It's great stuff. I order it from Amazon, I think it is about $15 per bottle and free shipping.

I've never tried that BUT when I was younger (think 50 years ago . . . YIKES! That sounds OLD!), we would use watered down white glue (NOT school glue) to stiffen fabric for crafts.

It is more for electronic cutters like the silhouette or scanncut or even good for embroidery to stiffen fabric to give it more stabilization

I have used it for 3D flowers but I also love it to stiffen a tee shirt before I embroider on it. Works great!

Terial Magic is great for embroidery. I often use it on fabric rather than using stabilizer....... depending upon the design and stitch count, etc.

I first saw it used to stiffen fabric for machine embroidery. I use it to stiffen binding fabric that I am going to put through my binding attachment. It does a good job stiffening the bindings. I iron them when dry and then roll them around a paper tube (toilet paper or paper towel) and hand it from the knee lift of my machine.
