Lol,
There is one scene with a really neat looking quilt and I kept wishing the actress would just move so I could get a better look at it. I know I'm not alone in this, what movies have you been quilt struck watching? |
Is it the movie or the Mini-series? I just love the mini series and have watched it so many times. I usually watch it while I am sewing. It is my favorite sewing program of all time. Just can't get enough of it.

It was the movie, I watched it on Netflix. I didn't even know there was a mini-series!
|
That's one of my favorite movies :)

Oh, wouldn't that be a nice job? Quilt consultant on a period drama!
|
Yes! I have the same problem.
The other night my husband was watching a John Wayne film called The Searchers. There were 2 beds, one on the left and one on the right. The bed on the right had a beautiful quilt, looked antique, and I was dying to see the other one but the darned actor was in the way. Did you know that Jane Austen was a quilter too? |
Yes Jane Austen was a quilter. Have you googled her quilt, the one she made with her sister? it is in a museum. It is all diamond shapes! You can get the pattern online free.
|
yes it was done by the BBC. Colin Firth was Mr. Darcy. He is so handsome......It is about 6 hours long and so good. I had the VHS and a few years ago my kids bought me the DVD set. I guess Blu-ray will be next
|
Nah...I figure its terrible when I have to watch something like "Sense and Sensiblility" (just kidding). Not my kind of thing but I know what you mean. I'm more of a sci-fi kind of girl much to my mother's dismay. She LOVES Jane Austin.
